Non-embeddable inductive proximity switches (25-Jul-2005)
THE Swiss made Contrinex series of M30 analogue sensors has been extended to include non-embeddable models. The maximum possible sensing range has thus been increased from 0-20mm previously to 0-40mm. However, the greater interference of surrounding metal parts has to be taken into consideration.
Elevator door optical sensor system (22-Jul-2005)
CEDES of Switzerland has developed a new, innovative sensor for elevator door safety. ESPROS/VOL is a new, optical sensor system from Cedes of Switzerland, which can be produced in large quantities. Available from iOpen, the heart of ESPROS is a CMOS camera chip, which takes 30 pictures a second.
Name change for LG industrial division (22-Jul-2005)
LG Industrial Systems, manufacturers of Starvert variable speed drives, is changing its name to LS Industrial Systems. This move follows rationalisation within the LG Corporation. The group has been split into three, to better accommodate the various production focus requirements of a diverse portfolio.
