Gekko Systems’ inaugural Graduate Program

Gekko Systems , specialists in the design, development and distribution of innovative mineral processing equipment and systems, is pleased to announce the inauguration of the first graduate program.

The 2012 graduate scheme will see six graduates participating in a two year program where they will develop their skills as both process engineers and professional leaders within the mining industry.

The Gekko graduate program has been designed to enable the graduates to control their own individual learning. This flexibility allows them to be accelerated through certain modules depending on their knowledge and experience.

Gekko Systems is able to provide the graduates with industry experience and an operational understanding of all facets of its organization including:
  • Logistics
  • Engineering
  • Production
  • Electrical,
  • Metallurgy ;and
  • Technical services.
The program also incorporates soft skill development and training around inter-relationships.

Two of the graduates participating in the Gekko program are sponsored by Newcrest Mining. As well as providing the graduates with opportunities to utilise various Newcrest projects as a learning resource, it will expose them to a range of technical projects and builds on international relationships within the industry.
