freedom9 has introduced the availability of the freeView IP 100. IP KVM’s are a good solution for remote server access and the freeView IP 100 provides some of the good features in its class. With support for Virtual Media, the freeView IP 100 allows for emulation of floppy disks and optical drives via the built in USB port. This allows for files to be copied and programs to be installed over a remote connection as long as the freeView IP 100 is connected to the server via USB.
It is also possible to use the freeView IP 100 together with a multi-port KVM, although only one server can be accessed at the time. With support for user accounts and up to 15 simultaneous users over secure SSL encrypted connections, there is no need to worry about unauthorised access. As an extra means of backup, the serial port on the freeView IP 100 can be attached to a dialup modem, be it PSTN or ISDN, so that even if the network connection would fail, access to the server will still be there. With no impact on server performance and cross platform compatibility the freeView IP 100 is a good way of accessing any remote server over an IP connection.
- Server access over IP with PSTN or ISDN as backup options
- Virtual Media support for remote software installations
- Turn any KVM into a multi-port IP KVM
- Secure connections over SSL and password protected access
- No performance impact on the server
- Rack mountable
The freeView IP 100 IP KVM is available Australia wide through Blue Ridge Systems and Tdata.
