element14 Pty Ltd
(formerly Farnell) will present some of the latest products for applications in medical, test and measurements, and industrial automation at the upcoming Electronex 2012.
element14’s booth at the Electronex show will feature speciality products such as the Arduino Leonardo microcontroller boards, the Raspberry Pi, the new version of Knode online knowledge tool and the PCB software, CadSoft EAGLE.
The recently released Arduino Leonardo is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega32u4, and uses a single microcontroller to run sketches and for USB communication with a connected computer, eliminating the need for a secondary processor. This allows the Arduino Leonardo to appear to a connected computer as a mouse and keyboard, in addition to a virtual (CDC) serial/COM port. The Arduino Leonardo will be available from October on a pre-order basis.
The Raspberry Pi Eco-System will also be displayed for visitors to have hands-on experience of the product. Visitors can also expect industrial, benchtop, maintenance and development tools from world-leading suppliers such as Agilent, Analog Devices, Fluke, Lumex, Microchip, Tektronix and Tenma.
Hakko will be showcasing their popular FM206 3-in-1 Rework station, a multi-station that enables soldering, desoldering and SMD rework.
CadSoft EAGLE Version 6 saves time for users by optimising and integrating new features such as BGA escape routing, differential pair routing, automatic meanders and undo/redo logs. Demonstrations of this award-winning software’s capabilities will be showcased at element14’s booth.
The Knode on element14 is an online resource for embedded and PCB design engineers who want to quickly find the best products and solutions to complete a project without needing to search at multiple supplier sites, or product-oriented distribution sites. The Knode connects engineers with the latest technical information and resources from the world’s leading suppliers, helping to accelerate the design process.
According to Peter Davis, Regional Director, element14, Australia and New Zealand, Electronex 2012 offers element14 an excellent opportunity to present their newest products and solutions designed to help engineers improve their design processes and reduce time-to-market.
Visitors to the element14 booth at Electronex, Australian Technology Park, Sydney (Booth B22) can enjoy a variety of deals, competitions and prizes, and view a wide selection of leading electronics solutions for electronic system design, and maintenance and repair.
