element14 Pty Ltd has added two new product series from Infineon to its high-voltage portfolio of MOSFETs.
The new C7 and P6 series of CoolMOS power MOSFETs from Infineon, a world leader in semiconductors and system solutions, significantly reduce switching and conduction losses and enable higher power density and efficiency.
With many of these power MOSFETs optimised for hard switching topologies, the new products are suited for solar, server, telecom and UPS applications.
According to Jan-Willem Reynaerts, Product Segment Head of High Voltage Power Conversion at Infineon Technologies, CoolMOS is a revolutionary technology for high-voltage power MOSFETs designed according to the Superjunction principle. The technology enables an unprecedented combination of improved power density as well as efficiency needed for designing next-generation power conversion systems.
He adds that customers can now easily access a comprehensive range of Infineon solutions at element14, together with local customer service and technical support.
The C7 series
Suited for applications in computing, server, telecom, UPS and solar, the C7 series power MOSFETs offer improved safety margin suitable for both SMPS and solar inverter applications; low conduction losses/package; low switching losses; improved light load efficiency; and space-saving design through the use of smaller packages or reduction of parts.
The P6 series
Suited for applications in PC Silverbox, adapter, TV, lighting, server, telecom and UPS, the P6 series power MOSFETs offer optimised integrated Rg; improved dv/dt; outstanding performance levels in hard and soft-switching topologies; and low conduction and switching losses.
Marc Grange, Head of Product and Asset Management, element14 Asia-Pacific commented that the high voltage power MOSFETs from Infineon’s leading range for high-end power conversion provide all the benefits of fast switching Superjunction MOSFETs, and will benefit customers who require higher system efficiency and increased power density solutions.
