Backplane Systems Technology has introduced a new range of capacitive industrial keyboards featuring a glass surface for hygienic environments.

Indukey's KR21201 capacitive panel mount industrial keyboards are ideal for integration into machines, systems, devices and objects. Featuring 94 keys and a capacitive touchpad, Indukey's KR21201 offers IP65 resistance to dust and liquid on the front panel. The functional principle of the KR21201 keyboard is based on capacitive sensors that simulate the keys.

Suitable for developers of HMI systems, capacitive keyboards enable designers to create aesthetically pleasing user interfaces made of glass while also delivering specific benefits such as easy cleaning; flat, closed surfaces; and resistance to environmental factors.

Indukey's KR21201 keyboards feature a complete alphanumeric key set; function keys; integrated touchpad; standard USB interface; operating temperature range from -20°C up to +70°C; completely flat user-friendly glass interface; resistance to normal disinfectants; integrated numeric keypad; key lock function for cleaning the keyboard; key sensitivity setting; and acoustic signal setting; and are operable with latex or silicone gloves in hygienic environments.
