Understanding the recent changes to pallet racking standards

Supplier News

Australian Forklift Training reports on the recent changes made to ‘Pallet Racking Standards’ by WorkCover NSW.

According to Peter Wade of Australian Forklift Training, WorkCover NSW recently carried out a crackdown on non-compliant pallet racking at various Sydney businesses.

WorkCover auditors carrying out inspections on licence assessors have been checking to confirm that all pallet racking units display the required rated capacity signage on the ends of aisle ways in accordance with 1.6AS4084.

A penalty of $1,500 is imposed in the event of non-compliance along with a two-week improvement notice to comply.
