Available from Allplastics Engineering , Acetal engineering plastics have high tensile strength and rigidity, can be easily machined and are versatile in application. Acetal engineering plastics feature creep resistance and are resistant to hydrolysis, strong alkalis and thermo oxidative degradation.

Acetal engineering plastics are suitable for use in situations where exceptional strengths is required for above average temperature or moisture levels and are available in sheets and rods.

Acetal engineering plastics features:

  • Continuous use at 115°C
  • Difficult to bond
  • Dimensionally more stable than Nylon with lower moisture absorption
  • Easily machined and polished
  • Excellent creep resistance
  • Good sliding properties with low stick and slip
  • Resistant to hot water, dilute acids, cleaning agents and numerous solvents
  • Strong and rigid
  • Suitable for food contact
  • Tough with good impact resistant
  • Very good electrical insulation properties

Acetail engineering plastics can be used in the following applications:

  • Agitators and kneading elements
  • Bushes and flanges
  • Clamps
  • Electrical insulators
  • Electronic and office machines
  • Friction bearings with small tolerances
  • Food industry
  • Gears
  • Medical parts
  • Plugs
  • Rollers
  • Tool supports
