YOKOGAWA Electric Corporation has developed the DPharp EJX Series of differential pressure and pressure transmitters.
The new DPharp EJX transmitters add to the current EJA Series of the Dpharp family, targeting the global industrial automation (IA) business.
The DPharp EJX Series employs multi-sensing technology that provides a level of performance that is substantially superior to previous models. For example, this new series can simultaneously measure both differential pressure and static pressure.
Differential pressure and pressure transmitters measure the flow of gases, steam and liquid. They are also the most common type of sensors used for measuring tank level. They represent the largest market for sensors used in the field. Global sales are estimated at $1.3 billion, with approximately 1.5 million units sold per year. Yokogawa currently has the second largest share (20%) of this market.
Yokogawa believes that the DPharp EJX Series will increase its share of the sensor market to 30% by 2005.
