Wormald and GAAM Emergency Products will both be showcasing a broad range of fire fighting products and systems at AFAC’s annual conference on the Gold Coast from September 22 to 24, 2009.
At Stand #79, Wormald will be displaying its life safety and rescue products, including its new Scott Advanced Carrying System (ACS) - a major breakthrough in the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) market as the only carrying system in the world to offer new ThermoFlex technology. The ACS is available with a wide variety of facemasks, cylinders and valve styles which that will also be exhibited, including ProPak, Modulair and Promask Negative Pressure (Promask NP) facemasks.
The Promask NP facemasks are designed for pandemic outbreaks, as well as wildland fire fighting, offering heat and flame resistance. The Promask facemasks are manufactured using ProComp material, which provides superior protection against chemical, biological, radioactive or nuclear threats.
Wormald’s stand will also incorporate a dramatic dark room which will be used to highlight the reflective stitching and panels of the ACS and its glow-in-the-dark cylinder band. “The AFAC Conference is a key exhibition for Wormald each year. At Stand #59, GAAM Emergency Products will be showcasing its brand new ultra-compact Eclipse handheld thermal imager. Designed to help prevent disorientation in a fire and assist in search and rescue situations, the Eclipse thermal imager boasts a small and lightweight form factor and easy one-button operation. “We’re looking forward to being a part of the AFAC Conference again this year and are particularly keen to discover what people think about our new Eclipse thermal imagers. Highly durable, straightforward to use and suitable for all types of fire departments, we expect them to attract a considerable amount of interest,” said Ian Price, GAAM Emergency Products.
GAAM will also showcase a wide variety of fire hose nozzles, fire fighting pumps, thermal imaging cameras, Pelican torch and area lighting, Whelen vehicle lighting and its wildfire equipment, which includes couplings and hose stranglers.
