COMPLIANCE with height safety standards and laws is simplified with the expertise of specialist Workplace Access & Safety , which supplies walkways, guardrails, roof anchors and other fall prevention equipment.

Fall prevention consultants conduct auditing to Australian Standards, prepare rectification reports and recommend the most cost-effective compliant solutions to control identified height safety risks.

Implementation is also simplified. As well as supplying world-leading harness, roof anchor, rope and lanyard brands, Workplace Access & Safety's dedicated manufacturing facilities produce custom equipment to match building requirements. Specialist fitters conduct on-site installation to Australian Standards.

Among the solutions are walkways that allow access to plant and equipment on fragile asbestos roofs without the need to replace or disturb the asbestos.

The walkway's support structure has a special profile that sits in the 'super six' asbestos profile, while existing penetrations are used for fastenings, rather than drilling extra holes into the asbestos.

Correctly installed, the design complies with prevention of falls regulations and Australian Standard AS1657-1992, while achieving access at a fraction of the cost of roof replacement or the disruption to operations normally associated with work on asbestos surfaces.

Workplace Access & Safety will be on Stand E02 at The Safety Show and Conference being held from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 October at The Dome, Hall 2 and Southee Complex respectively at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
