Leading Australasian tissue company, SCA Hygiene will feature in this month’s WorkSafe Insights program highlighting the systems and procedures that led to them receiving a WorkSafe award for workplace safety excellence.
SCA Hygiene, which makes a number of leading household brands, including Sorbent and Purex, received the WorkSafe award for Best Solution for Sprains and Strains in 2005.
WorkSafe Insights is a safety innovation program sponsored by WorkSafe Victoria . It allows businesses to get the inside story on how their peers have successfully managed OHS with proven results.
The SCA Hygiene WorkSafe Insight visit will take place at Box Hill from 10am–1.30pm on 30 October.
WorkSafe Insights promotes best practice in occupational health and safety for business. It allows companies that have been through the process of change to help others facing similar issues.
WorkSafe Insights is delivered by Insights to Excellence, a not-for-profit organisation that fosters and promotes awareness of industry excellence and best practice. Insights to Excellence also run the Victorian Government’s Innovation Insights program.
WorkSafe Insights visits are hosted by organisations recognised for their improvements and achievements in OHS. Many of them have been previous finalists in the prestigious WorkSafe awards.
WorkSafe Insights program includes a presentation by the host company, followed by a tour to see workplace improvements first hand. It ends with a comprehensive de-brief and review of what has been learnt.
WorkSafe Insights program helps small and medium sized businesses see best practice safety solutions and innovation first-hand and will inspire them to strive for excellence.
