Wolf has introduced a new intrinsically safe LED Primary Cell Torch range, Certified to IECEx and ATEX standards.
The three intrinsically safe torches in this TR-40 range incorporate high power LEDs, producing a flawless intense white beam of about half a metre diameter at five metres and a light source that is ‘fitted for life’.
Each torch is powered by four x AA alkaline primary cells, which will not only produce an optimum output for up to seven and a half hours duration, but will also continue to provide a good light for up to 72 hours.
The TR-40 intrinsically safe Primary Cell Torches are approved for safe use in Zone 1 and 2 Hazardous Areas, Group IIC T4 Explosive gases, dusts and vapours.
Weighing 360 grams including batteries, they are one of the lightest intrinsically safe safety torches available.
The TR-40+ version is fitted with a low battery indicator and a black TR-45 model is Certified for use in Zone 0 gas environments.
Intrinsically safe and ideal for maintenance and inspection tasks on industrial sites, fire-fighting, oil, gas, petrochemical, and offshore applications, the TR-40 range completes the Wolf Safety family of IECEx and ATEX Torches, filling the gap between the hugely popular TR-24+ and the impressive R-50 LED rechargeable torch ranges.
