Diane Beamer, Minister for Western Sydney and Minister for Fair Trading, will launch 'Celebrating Women in Manufacturing, Producing the Goods', at a luncheon on May 29, as part of Western Sydney Manufacturing Week 2006.
The event celebrates the significant contribution women have made to the traditionally male-dominated manufacturing sector.
The luncheon includes a panel discussion, led by Narelle Kennedy, Australian Business Foundation, and features a compelling range of guest speakers including:
* Alison Watkins, Chairman, Mrs Crocket's Kitchen, ex CEO Berri Juices
* Gillian Corban, CEO Corban & Blair
* Lesley Mathiesen-Smith, MD, Matson Automotive Industries.
Case studies of innovative, successful women manufacturers are a feature of the luncheon.
Women business owners and manufacturing executives are invited to attend the luncheon, at Mt Druitt TAFE.
