Westek Electronics provides new AFJ current generators



New AFJ current generator
The new AFJ (GI series--- 500VA to 50kVA AC rating), and AC/DC (GIS series—500VA to 50 kVA rating) current generators provide a fully isolated, floating current source at variable frequency between DC and 1000 Hz, currents between 10 and 1000Amps (GIS) and 40Hz to 200Hz with currents between 10Amps and 30kAmps.

The AFJ GI series utilises a triple conversion technology and the GI series, a double conversion method.

The AFJ generators are provided with RS485 and RS232 multi-port serial communication as well as a USB facility and measurement stage indicating voltage, current, power and power factor.

User-friendly set-up is facilitated by a keyboard and intuitive graphic display. Test protocols include cyclic repetition of up to 30 step sequences, dip and ramp sequences.

The AFJ GI and GIS generators are suited to a large range of applications such as the testing of protective relays, earth leakage breakers and MCBs, primary injection testing, testing and calibration of revenue meters and other electrical instrumentation.
