Westek Electronics supply the new Industrial Power Corruptor (IPC) from Power Standards Laboratories to test the performance of electrical devices including protection gear, industrial plants, process and machine control instrumentation and systems, under various conditions of power quality.
The IPC is interposed between a source of clean power and the device to be tested, adding carefully calibrated voltage sags, swells and interruptions.
The IPC can be connected to single-phase and three-phase power, utilising voltages from 100 to 480 volts, with line currents to 200 amperes for mains power frequencies of 50 and 60 hertz.
The IPC generates phase-to phase voltage sags and swells (without a neutral being required), from 0% to 125% of nominal, from 200 μSec to 30 seconds, as well as voltage sags and swells with respect to a neutral conductor.
The built-in data acquisition system includes a 28-channel digital scope and optional harmonic and power flow analyser. The IPC is suitable for current inrush testing and standards compliance, including SEMI F47, IEC 61000-4-11, 61000-4-34, CBEMA, ITIC and IEEE-1100.
