The new TESEQ AES 5500 automotive emissions testing system from
Westek Electronics complies with the testing protocols required under ISO 7637-2.
The TESEQ AES 5500 system addresses in particular the transient emission effects as specified by the ISO requirements.
The ISO directive covers conductive emissions and immunity as additional requirements. To export automotive products to European countries it is necessary for the products to meet ISO 7637-2 standards.
The TESEQ AES 5500 comprises of a platform to house electronic and mechanical relays in order to simulate transients, a special coupling network and monitoring network to which an oscilloscope can be connected with various triggering modes including internal, external and manual user-selectable options.
The artificial network comprises of a 5 micro-Henry inductor, 0.1 micro-Farad capacitor and 50 Ohm resistor. Connectors to the network utilise 100 Ampere MC-type, countersunk terminals located 50 millimetre above the ground plane.
