THE new Powertek Hall-effect split core and through-hole current transducers are available from Westek Electronics as dc and rms-indicating (500 and 1000 amp) configurations.
The Powertek transducers are easily adapted to a variety of installation situations because of the great flexibility offered in connection to ac and dc power supplies.
Current ranges offered are 0-10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 amps dc. Internal dc offset and gain calibration controls are provided. Response times to current step changes is better than 200 microseconds (in the absence of filtering).
Certified accuracy is better than 1.0% at 23ºC ±5ºC. Auxiliary power input can be specified as 12, 24, 48, 110 or 230 V dc or V ac. Operating temperature range of the transducers is 0-50ºC. The rated galvanic isolation of the Powertek transducers is 3.0kV peak.
Typical applications of the Powertek current transducers include current monitoring in dc drives, dc links, circuit breaker trip coils and in many process control systems.
