The new Powertek SD1000 phase meter, available from Westek Electronics , is immune to noise and multiple zero crossings by utilising discrete Fourier analysis, thus rejecting any noise and distortion without the need for tracking filters.
The Powertek SD1000 phase meter can be employed for voltage to voltage phase measurement, voltage to current phase measurement or current to current phase measurement, and is therefore suitable for phase protection relays, power meters, energy meters and current transformer calibration.
The Powertek SD1000 phase meter has isolated inputs, making it useful in phase comparison of signals that do not share common grounds. The Powertek SD1000 phase meter also eliminates accidental grounding and ground-loop currents.
Basic phase accuracy is 0.02 degrees for signals up to 700 kHz. The Powertek SD1000 phase meter has a maximum voltage input of 500 volt peak and can make comparisons on signals with a dynamic range of 10000:1. The instrument is equipped with RS232 and IEEE-488 interfaces.
