Westek Electronics has announced the release of Vitrek’s new series 950i electrical safety analysers. These electrical safety analysers offer a complete range of tests including AC as well as DC hi pot, ground bond testing, line leakage and insulation resistance in DC and AC mode. Series 950i electrical safety analysers conduct these tests at both power and avionics equipment frequencies to 400 Hz. Test voltages 10 kV DC and 11 kV AC and insulation resistance to 4 tera-ohm can be selected.
The Vitrek 950i series electrical safety analysers feature high speed solid-state, load discharge within 50 microseconds, test lead verification to ensure these are connected correctly, and recessed start test switch to prevent accidental operation. Microprocessor control provides very fast ramp rates to 50 kV/sec, and dwell times as low as 20 millisecond.
The Vitrek testers’ on-board memory can hold up to 100 test sequences, each consisting of as many as 100 steps per test. A high voltage scanner control module is available to enable the automatic testing of up to 256 points. Users to distinguish between resistive and reactive currents by way of a built-in phase angle meter, and this together with the multi-dwell capability permits unique visualisation of dielectric properties. A four-wire milliohm meter with 5 digit resolution permits measurements down to 100 micro-ohm.
The Vitrek 950i series electrical safety testers are suitable for both front-panel and remote control operation. Standard features include high Speed RS232, PLC, safety interlock and digital inputs/outputs.
GPIB and Ethernet control options are available and output connections can be added to the rear of the instruments to suit numerous applications.
