New Teseq coupling decoupling network for balanced unshielded wire pairs

Available from Westek Electronics , the new Teseq coupling decoupling network (CDN) model HSS-2 is designed for surge testing of balanced unshielded wire pairs.
 
Examples include Ethernet 1, 2 and 4 pair communication buses with coupling achieved via a 40 ohm resistive impedance in series with capacitive coupling elements. The Teseq CDN-HSS-2 is suitable for 10, 100 and 1000 Base T as well as for PoE applications.
 
The Teseq CDN-HSS-2 is safe to use with auxiliary equipment subject to 65 volts maximum even with a surge test voltage of 2 kV.
 
The decoupling network provides testing in accordance with IEC 61000-4-5 (edition 3/77/67A/CD2012-05) and offers a surge pulse shape for the equipment under test (EUT) independent of auxiliary equipment.

Insertion loss for the CDN is typically 9 dB at 100 MHz. This coupling network can be used with surge generators such as the Teseq NSG 3060 or NSG 3040, or the Schaffner Modula Series.
