The BaSyTec system concept has testing regimes including galvanostatic, potentiometric and cyclic voltammetry testing of single cells and batteries, as well as performance, life cycle, and quality assurance testing.
The BaSyTec is also suitable for testing pulse charge methods and fuel cells.
The main features include Constant Current and Constant Voltage operating modes and up to 400 independent monitoring data acquisition channels. Test channel cards are available in various voltage and current ranges, and the BaSyTec systems are further enhanced by digital I/O cards and external charge/load cards.
Each test channel is complemented by an additional four analogue inputs for the measurement of parameters including pH, temperature, pressure, etc. Each system contains one or more CPU cards depending on the number of testing channels.
Communication capabilities include RS232 and Ethernet connections and an extensive range of software tools with graphical analysis are available.
Features of the software include a test plan editor providing for an unlimited number of test steps and nested loops, subroutines and macros and export of test plans in various formats (ASCII, HTML, XLS, and DOC); numerical analysis in tabular form, graphical format, data filters to select data by cycle or step, and data transfer to Excel data bases; and graphical analysis including storing and loading of templates, zooming, and direct data transfer to Excel.
