THE new Electronicon E62 series ac/dc capacitors from Westek Electronics are suited to power electronics applications such as commutation, smoothing and surge discharging, by virtue of their ability to withstand high rms and surge currents.
The capacitors are resin-filled and have a very high capacitance to volume ratio, as well as possessing excellent self-healing characteristics and integrated over-pressure protection to assure controlled disconnection in the event of overload or failure at the end of operating life.
The capacitors comply with IEC 1071, EN 61071, and VDE 560-120/121. By virtue of a high-tracking distance connection boot, the E62.C58 capacitors (available with two capacitance values of 0.1 and 0.22 micro farad) can withstand 5400V dc between terminals and are 100% tested at this value.
The E62.C58 capacitors are part of a range of capacitors (C58 through R32) rated at 3600V dc and 2100V ac with capacitance values ranging from 0.1 to 40 micro-farad.
