THE Prodigit model 3660A multiple output power supply tester available from Westek Electronics is suited to the testing of power supplies with inputs of 115 and 230V ac, and various ratings, and up to six individual outputs.
For example, an ATX power supply, with outputs of +5V, +12V, -5V, -12V, +3.3V, and +5V can have the power rails tested simultaneously.
The Prodigit 3660A is therefore suitable for not only a manufacturing environment but also for large equipment testing facilities such as found in computer rental companies and service centres.
The Prodigit 3660A has two testing pods permitting the simultaneous testing of two power supplies. The power supply load ratings can vary from 300 watt to 20 watt, current ratings from 60 amp to 4 amp, and voltages in the range of ±30 volt.
Testing of over-voltage and over-current protection for power supplies is also provided. The testing regime can be based on constant current (CC) or constant load resistance (CR), and comprehensive testing suites can be stored in Prodigit's EEPROM.
Windows and Excel-compatible software is stored in Flash memory, and allows editing of test parameters, uploading and downloading of test data, system upgrades and password protection.
