With the operations of National Hire now merged with those of , results in it being the sixth largest hire company in the world.
Following the merger last year of Coates and National Hire, Caterpillar equipment is now available from Coates branches throughout ACT, NSW and WA.
The existing Coates and National Hire stores are currently being rebranded, with a total of 68 Coates, The Cat Rental Store locations across ACT, NSW and WA. In other states, there is no commercial relationship between the new Coates Group and the Cat dealerships, so there is no change, although Coates is developing close relationships with those dealers with the procurement of Caterpillar equipment in those states also.
Cat earthmoving equipment began arriving in Coate's ACT, NSW and WA stores in August last year, and now have an extensive range of small to mid-sized Cat equipment across Australian states.
These include Skid Steer Loaders, Excavators, Motor Graders, Wheel Loaders, and Work Tools. Together with WesTrac Rental’s Fleet across the ACT, NSW and WA Coates have a complete selection of equipment, from a jackhammer to the largest mechanical drive mining truck in the world.
The Caterpillar product is well known for its quality and it is a good fit for the Coates business, who strive to provide a quality product with exceptional service. All the Cat machines are new or near new and undergo a rigorous maintenance check prior to each rental.
With so many Coates stores, customers can now access a Cat earthmoving product much more easily. It is an excellent opportunity to supply customers with quality, highly productive Cat equipment, backed by Coates’ competitive edge and specialised customer service. Most importantly in an economic environment where it may make more sense to hire than acquire.
