C Series Multi Terrain Loader
Caterpillar’s new C Series range of Multi Terrain Loaders has 11% torque improvement, innovative dual level suspension over previous models and a sealed, pressurised cabin and multiple specification options for added flexibility.
The sealed and pressurised cabs, on Caterpillar’s 277C, 287C and 297C Multi Terrain Loaders, raise the bar in comfort, quietness and ease of operation.
The spacious sealed cab includes high level filtration and air-conditioning for peak productivity on the dusty work sites, while ideal head and shoulder room and improved front and rear visibility adds to safety and efficiency.
The option of an ergonomic air ride seat includes mounted joystick controls to reduce operator fatigue and allow multiple adjustments for individual needs.
Caterpillar’s open C Series undercarriage design features an advanced suspension system designed to reduce shock and vibration and provide improved ride and bucket load retention.
The open undercarriage design provides easy access for maintenance and cleaning, while the modular construction means components can be changed without the need for track removal.
An optional dual level suspension features oscillating bogie wheels delivering more track-to-ground contact for even better ride and performance at high speed.
The C Series’ range includes an array of optional features allowing operators to choose specifications to suit applications, adding to machine flexibility.
An optional High Flow XPS hydraulic system delivers increased flow and pressure to maximise work tool options while a two-speed transmission allows speeds to 14.9 kph for fast load and carry performance on large worksites.
For added control, the Cat Advanced Machine Information and Control System (AMICS) displays machine operating information allowing the operator to set work speed while adjustable tilt and lift level responsiveness delivers precision in demanding tasks.
The C Series features a powerful Cat 3044 DIT turbo engine with Electronic Torque Management to maximise power to the ground and prevent stalling in tough digging or dozing tasks as well as hand and foot throttles to better match speed to the machine task.
