World-leading electrical connectivity solutions supplier Weidmuller introduces a new range of shield clamps that allow users to shield on both sides of a cable to eliminate noise.

The Weidmuller KLBU RC shield clamp discharges interference currents. The built-in frequency filter in the shield clamp prevents high frequency noise from being transferred across the cable by effectively suppressing interfering currents to help ensure a more responsive system.

Suitable for use in long or extensive systems, the KLBU RC shield clamp is particularly ideal for power plants, sewage plants, wastewater and other industrial facilities where the increasing use of numerous data cables, processors and frequency converters enhances the potential for problems. The use of the KLBU RC shield clamp on the field side(s) reduces transfer impedance and improves system performance and stability.

Weidmuller’s KLBU RC shield clamp also supports functional earthing to help protect electrical equipment. By allowing users to shield at both ends of long cable routes, the KLBU RC also helps ensure performance and safety of electrical cables.

Certified for resistance to vibration, KLBU RC shield clamps meet the requirements of wind power plants and can be used in mobile installations. A high pass between the shield clamp and mounting rail filters low-frequency signals while ensuring only real interference currents are securely discharged.

Available in three different terminal sizes in a range of 3-20mm, the shield clamps match cable diameters for secure contact. Their compact dimensions allow for flexible and simple installation.

Weidmuller supplies a stripping tool as well as a hexagon socket wrench to easily and firmly connect the shield clamp in any direction to the cable.
