Weidmuller launches six new thermocouple and RTD temperature sensors

Worldwide electrical connectivity and electronics supplier, Weidmuller has expanded its ACT20M temperature isolation and conversion products range with the introduction of six new temperature models.

The six new models for thermocouple and RTD temperature sensor conversion and isolation expand Weidmuller's existing range of 6mm signal isolators and converters. Available as thermocouple or RTD standalone units as well as combined RTD and thermocouple models, the expanded range also allows users to choose between isolated and non-isolated models.

All the temperature models are available as output loop powered or 24Vdc powered units. They also feature a dip-switch selection for zero, the full scale range setting and output selection.

Key advantages of the new RTD and thermocouple devices include greater choice and flexibility, superior reliability, high accuracy reading to within 0.1% of the measuring range, and measuring range from -200°C to +1370°C.

Features also include a broad operating temperature range of -25°C to +70°C; output voltage selectable from 0(1)…5V/ 0(2)…10V; current adjusted between 0(4)-20mA; and output response times set at 30ms intervals.

Measuring only 6mm in width for maximum convenience, the new models are small and compact, making them perfect for use in industrial, automation and mining applications.

The six new temperature models expand the existing ACT20M range to a choice of 16 devices. The existing 10 models include a highly flexible 1 channel universal PC programmable input unit, which converts mV, Thermocouples, RTDs, Potentiometer, Resistance, V, and mA to a 0(1)…5V, 0(2)…10V or 0(4)-20mA output. 

The range also contains 1 channel dip switch selectable signal isolators, 1 or 2 channel input and output loop powered units, and 1 input, 2 output signal splitters.
