Weidmüller Wave TTA - a truly “Universal” Transmitter Trip-Amplifier

Product/Service Name

Weidmüller’s new Wave TTA is a truly “Universal” Transmitter Trip Amplifier. Part of Weidmuller’s well-established WAVESERIES family of analogue signal conditioners, which are widely used in process and factory automation applications.

WAVE TTA - ONE MODULE IS ALL YOU NEED

The Wave TTA is accurate and stable over wide ambient temperature and supply voltage ranges and accepts most types of sensor inputs. Designed with flexibility in mind, the new Wave TTA is an intelligent Signal Isolator, Converter, Transmitter, Lineariser and Trip-Amplifier all rolled into one!

Discover the features of the Wave TTA

  • "Universal" inputs - meaning a single model covers all common thermocouple and RTD types, resistance, potentiometers,
  • DC voltage, DC milliamps and frequencyranges
  • Total configurability of input/output types and ranges via computer
  • Uses same (CBX100 USB) interface as the ITX Plus for programming.
  • User-definable input characterisation Test terminals for current/voltage input & output
  • High accuracy / stability process measurements
  • Selectable milliamp input type – source or sink mode.
  • Wide auxiliary supply range (18 – 264V ac/dc)
  • 3 Port isolation – with high isolation protection
  • 2 independent relay output channels
  • Selectable Upscale or Downscale --sensorbreak signal.
  • Reverse or direct acting output
  • Wide ambient temperature operating range (-40°C to 70°C)
  • CE, UL and C-Tick approvals
  • Pluggable terminals, with screw or tension clamp options
  • 2 x SPDT CO 3A/250V Relays with adjustable on & off delay deadband

What makes Weidmuller’s Transmitter Trip Amplifier unique?

The answer is a combination of high performance and exceptional configurability. Programmable to suit any common DC input type, Weidmuller’s “Universal” Transmitter Trip Amplifier will measure, monitor, convert, filter, and isolate the signal - producing a DC analogue output proportional to the input. It can be powered from any supply between 18 to 264V (ac or dc) without modification, and has two fully configurable SPDT relay contact outputs which are capable of handling currents up to 3A.

The Wave TTA’s universal inputs allow the user the freedom of adjustable response times, upscale or downscale burnout, and up to 100 point linearisation.

Configuring the versatile TTA to change input and output parameters is simple, and performed from a computer via an interface (CBX100 USB). To further simplify installation and loop commissioning, test terminals are provided to permit input and output signal checks without the need to remove cables.
