THE continued increase in complexity of automation has led to the development a new family of sensors with an external diameter of 6mm and an M5 thread.
Weidmüller now offers a new sensor-actuator family to wire-up these sensors.
Comprising three variants, the SAI-M5 family consists of 4 and 8-channel modules, connection cable with M12 or M16 plug-in connectors or with a fixed connection cable.
The plug-in stations for the M5 connections are designed with 3 and 4 poles.
The world's smallest and lightest SAI-M5 passive integrators are suitable for on-the-spot use. These include, for example, handling devices, textile machines, robot systems, test stands, storage systems, medical technology, in simulators, hoisting platforms, woodworking machines as well as test and verification instruments.
The SAI-M5 doesn't restrict the degree of freedom in confined spaces, nor does its size or weight hinder the acceleration or slowing down of objects being moved.
In other words: SAI-M5 integrators make handling easier and make optimum use of confined spaces.
