Webgenie Software was established in 1995 with main focus in providing web page authoring and consulting for internet use. The focus was then shifted to electronic commerce software tools in early 1996 to meet the demanding change. The company was then registered as Webgenie Software Pty Ltd on 1 July, 1996.
Webgenie Software had operational agreement with Luminis Pty Ltd, the technology transfer company in Adelaide and the agreement was in force until 30 September, 1997. Webgenie Software was considered as one of the first company to enter into the Playford Centre, South Australian Government’s future Information Technology industry in the state.
Webgenie Software operated from the PlayFord Centre’s headquarters from 1st October to 24th March 1999. Then Webgenie Software moved to the Commerce and Research Campus of the South Australia’s University of Adelaide at Thebarton. Webgenie Software established itself well in the internet presence in less than two years since its commencement.
Webgenie Software has developed as a reputed firm through the sale and support of wide range of products to number of customers in more than 50 countries. Presently, Webgenie Software supplies its products to more than 67 countries across world. Webgenie Software’s growth rate is more than 85 percentages per annum and this growth is expected to rise in forthcoming years.
