Webb Conveyor Company has been appointed by Swedish company Overhead Conveyor System AB (OCS) as their technology partner.

Common ongoing concerns with conventional chain conveyors include safety, noise and grease, not forgetting the on-going maintenance involved.

Taking a different approach to the Power and Free (P&F) technology concept, OCS has developed a virtually maintenance free conveyor that is easily modified, clean and quiet and has the ability to change over ‘free’ trolleys with minimum production downtime.

The chainless conveyor systems allows for switches, lift sections, different speeds in separate zones, conveyor inclines and stop and start function for use whenever needed

Used extensively in Europe for order picking, OCS conveyor systems are fitted with and optional ‘Bump-Bar’ that disconnects from the conveyor if an accident occurs with an operator

OCS conveyor systems offer a quieter and cleaner working area with the added benefits of easy expansion to the conveyors, low maintenance and a fast breakdown recovery time.
