Watlow FIREROD heater enters 50th year of cartridge heating

Over over 250,000 designs of FIREROD cartridge heaters

The Watlow FIREROD heater, available from Watlow , enters its 50th year of swaged cartridge heating. With premium materials and tight manufacturing controls, the FIREROD heater continues to provide quality heat transfer, uniform temperatures and resistance to oxidation and corrosion even at high temperatures.

The FIREROD heater offers many delivery programs to meet customers’ needs such as same day shipment, Ship-to-Stock or Just-in-Time. Watlow have over 250,000 FIREROD cartridge heater designs.

Sheath materials of the FIREROD heaters made of Incoloy operate at typical maximum watt densities of 62 W/cm² or up to 400 W/in² and have maximum operating temperatures of 760°C (1400°F). The sheath materials of FIREROD heaters made of stainless steel operate at typical maximum watt densities of 62 W/cm² or up to 400 W/in² and have maximum operating temperatures of 540°C (1000°F).
