Uridan Waterless Urinals
Product/Service Name
Uridan water-free urinals
Uridan Waterless Urinals from Watersave Australia The Uridan waterless urinal is a new generation of water-free urinal, operating without replacement cartridges. It combines a low operational cost with a unique inbuilt waterlock which prevents any smell of urine escaping into the bathroom.
The produce range includes individual bowl waterless urinals in both ceramic and fibreglass, trough water-free urinals in three sizes, portable waterless urinals and privacy screens.
How a Uridan Waterless Urinal Works The Uridan water-free urinal is designed with an integral serviceable waterlock. A scented, biodegradable, fully refined vegetable oil (Urilock), floats on top of the urine in the waterlock. The Urilock forms a liquid seal, preventing urine smells from being released into the air. As the urine drains through the holes in the stainless steel cover, it passes through the Urilock and out of the sewer pipe. The waterlock acts as an odour trap.
What are the benefits?Save Water…Typically a urinal can use as much as 65,000 litres of water in a year. Since approximately 20% of water used in offices is used to flush urinals, there are significant environmental and financial incentives to reduce water usage immediately.
Save Operational Costs… Existing water-flushing urinals and troughs can be expensive to maintain. Cisterns, flushing valves, motion sensors and water pipes all require regular maintenance. Uridan water-free urinals connect to the standard 50mm waste pipe and require no further fittings, thereby reducing operational and maintenance costs.
Save Building Costs…. For new developments, avoiding the costs of installing water pipes, cisterns, flushing valves and sensors can greatly reduce total project costs.
More Hygienic…Uridan waterless urinals provide a healthier bathroom environment. Independent testing has shown that there is less bacteria and fungus present in a bathroom containing water-free urinals than a bathroom containing flushing urinals.
