WASTEWATER Monitors Australia (WMA) has launched its range of automatic wastewater samplers. WMA is an Australian owned company, and its products are manufactured in Australia.
The design of WMA's auto-samplers has taken into account the needs of operators in the water and environmental management industries, so touch-pads driving complicated PLC controllers have been replaced by four rotary controls and two switches setting-up carefully designed electronic circuitry.
The base model Auditor I composite sampler is available in 240V ac and 12V dc forms, and has the ability to obtain both time-based and adjustable flow-proportional samples using a high volume peristaltic pump (10mm dia) to a 10 litre composite container.
Features such as line-purge before/after each sample, start-up delay, low-battery indication and external charger (12V dc model) have been included, so as to ensure operational functionality is maintained.
With load-based limits being incorporated into (wastewater) discharge licenses issued by the NSW Environment Protection Authority and in trade waste permits granted by Sydney Water, WMA's composite auto-samplers provide councils, water utilities, and manufacturers with an opportunity to embrace this process control/monitoring technology.
