PI (Physik Instrumente) adds the new PILine driven XY microscopy stage series M-687 with high resolution linear scales to the standard product range available from Warsash Scientific .

Bundled together with the C-867.262 controller specifically designed for microscopy applications, the PILine linear drives offer a unique low profile and uniformly flat form factor in addition to a high dynamical range from 10μm/s to 100mm/s with good velocity constancy as well as high resolution, repeatability, stability and accuracy.

These properties make the systems ideally suited for different microscopy applications to benefit end users and OEMs.

The systems are available in two versions:

  • M26821LNJ Nikon Eclipse Ti Series (Ti-S, Ti-U, Ti-E): The system consists of a M-687.UN microscopy stage, C-867.262 controller and a USB joystick (C819B0002), and is designed for the inverted Nikon Eclipse Series (Ti-S, Ti-U, Ti-E)
  • M26821LOJ Olympus IX Series (IX51, IX71 and IX81): The system consists of an M-687.UO microscopy stage, C-867.262 controller and a USB joystick (C819B0002), and is designed for the inverted Olympus IX Series (IX51, IX71 and IX81)
The Nikon version provides higher stroke (130 x 85mm) compared to the Olympus version (100 x 75mm) due to the different geometries of the microscopes. To achieve 100 x 75mm on the Olympus IX2 series the free aperture already had to be resized to 110 x 160mm.

The Nikon version stage M-687.UN has a Nikon compatible 238.2 x 157.2mm aperture, which is visible once the reduction adapter to 160 x 110mm aperture is removed.
