Warsash Scientific has introduced PerkinElmer’s double (DPEW) and triple (TPGEW) EPI-cavity structures, a range of 905 nm pulsed lasers in plastic encapsulated packages.
The lasers employ PerkinElmer’s novel multiactive area laser chips to deliver high output power in a small emitting area. This series of lasers are offered with chips stripe width from 75 to 225 µm.
The EPI-cavity structure possesses 25° beam divergence in the perpendicular direction.
The devices are ideally suited for light duty applications where cost is a primary concern and high volume production capacity is required. These include laser range finding, automotive adaptive cruise control (LIDAR, ACC), laser-based speed enforcement, automotive blind spot detection, IR-illumination and automotive pre-crash sensing.
