The Samba Face Visual Appearance Study System directly measures gloss on complex tri-dimensional objects such as face, nails, and arms.

The Samba Face Visual Appearance Study System is designed to test powder, lipstick, foundation, blush, facial cleansers, lotions and sebum removers directly on the skin surface.

The visual appearance of an object depends on its ability to scatter light. By performing a polarisation analysis, Samba Face Visual Appearance Study System measures the scattering properties of an object in order to evaluate its gloss.

The technique developed by Bossa Nova Technologies is able to effectively and reliably repeat measurements on objects of varying texture, size or shape with fast polarisation analysis achieved at video rate.
