Quantifying the performance of optical coatings has traditionally been an expensive and time consuming process, requiring the use of large, purpose-built spectrometers.
Filmetrics has released F10-AR system. The F-10 AR is derived from the successful F20 thin-film thickness measurement system and offers a compact, low-cost method for verifying the performance of your optical coatings.
By combining a light source and ccd-based spectrometer is a compact housing, the F10 enables both line operators and R&D personnel to test and record optical coating performance in seconds. The powerful software which couples with the F10 offers the ability to plot and compare sample spectra (reflectance vs wavelength) to a target spectrum and evaluate reflectance values and minima/maxima positions.
The system offers adjustments common to other spectrometers such as integration time and base lining. Furthermore, the system can be easily upgraded to measure layer thicknesses similar to the F20.
