LUXTRON, represented in Australia by WARSASH Scientific , has released the I652 industrial fibre optic thermometer, a turn-key solution designed for harsh microwave, RF and electro-magnetic environments.

It has two measurement channels and easy-to-read two line LED display. It can be incorporated into an industrial control scheme through the RS-232 or analogue output ports. The tough metal enclosure provides electromagnetic shielding and the tamper-proof design only allows authorised personnel to change calibration or monitoring parameters.

It comes with a 1m Fluoroptic STF Teflon-tipped probe allowing temperature monitoring in harsh environments such as strong RF interference or high voltages. In addition to the STF probe, the I652 can be used with Luxtron's range of Fluoroptic probes. These probes are immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI), are entirely non-metallic, and are coated with chemical resistant materials.

In addition to the probe the unit includes a universal power supply, an RS-232 cable, an analogue output connector and a user’s manual.
