Function/Applications

Warsash Scientific  has released a High Speed Closed Tube Sorter, HCTS2000, manufactured by MUT (Market-driven Understanding of Technology) GmbH.

This HCTS2000 is useful for automated sorting of closed primary sample tubes used in laboratories. The HCTS2000 allows faster processing of routine work in the bottle-neck entrance area of the laboratory and sorting area in order to increase the total laboratory throughput.

The HCTS2000 is a cost effective solution for the optimisation of work flow through the laboratory. After quickly placing a bulk load of primary tubes in the entrance hopper, each tube is isolated, identified and sorted into 7 channels.

Barcode and colour of tube caps can be used as sorting criteria and up to 10 different sorting rules can be stored on the device for an immediate adjustment to any situation change.

Features/Benefits of the HCTS2000 include:

  • Early sample registration
  • Sorting of up to 2000 tubes per hour
  • All customary types of tubes may be used
  • Connection to the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
