Aus invention improves firefighter safety (16-Feb-2005)
An Australian radio engineer has designed and commercialised a product that uses rural firefighting vehicles’ GPS equipment and radios to send a data packet back to base identifying their positions. No voice call is necessary and the process takes less than two seconds.
