Walker Filtration design and manufacture a range of medical vacuum filters for centralised hospital vacuum plant installations as specified in the HTM2022 Medical Gas Pipeline Installations Standard.
The Walker range of medical vacuum filters are designed to prevent these installations from liquid, solid and bacterial contamination. Liquids are collected in a transparent drain flask, which can be easily removed for sterilisation.
There are 10 models ranging from ¼” to 3” BSP threaded connections, offering flow rates from 4.2 nm3/hr to 900 nm3/hr @ 500mmhg rarefied air. Larger flow rates are available using the Walker range of flanged filters.
All of the threaded filters incorporate the unique Walker designed push-on filter element. This reduces maintenance time and allows the filter to be located in confined spaces. The Medical Vacuum grade filter elements incorporate a prefilter and low pressure drop filter to remove solid and bacterial contamination. Medical Vacuum filters use high efficiency borosilicate glass microfibre media to remove all dirt particles. During sodium flame test penetration challenge to BS3928 less than 0.005% of particles will penetrate this media.
The Medical Vacuum filters are a proven success and now include such features as differential pressure indicators and drain flasks, which are a specific requirement of the HTM2022 medical gas pipeline specification.
