introduces a new range of compact excavators featuring increased performance, efficiency and comfort.
Wacker Neuson’s ET series of compact excavators is a new generation of powerful diesel engine machines that combine proven innovations with new developments to deliver superior power and efficiency. The ET series compact excavators are available in the class of 1.7 to 2.4 tons.
The ET18, ET20 and ET24 compact excavators incorporate several new features to offer better performance, enhanced operator comfort as well as efficient functions for time savings and increased productivity.
Performance strength and efficiency
The large-volume high performance diesel engines of the ET series excavators meet the latest exhaust standards while the optional automatic idling speed control reduces fuel consumption and noise level during operation.
The newly developed cooling air ducting allows operation under full load with an ambient temperature of up to 45ºC, enhancing the operating life of the components. Design features such as the optimal arrangement of the filter units, easily removable covers and large opening angle provide for simple accessibility and effective maintenance.
Comfort is capitalised
Operator comfort is the focus of several new features in the ET series such as larger cabin space with a broad entrance, precision machine control and better ergonomics. New modular joystick carrier boxes and hydraulically steered driver pedals facilitate maximum precision in machine control while the stepless proportional control for the auxiliary control circuits substantially improves the governing of the individual operating speed during operation.
Additionally, the two-side, large-area windscreen is equipped with an innovative mechanism that makes it possible for the driver to fix both the lower and upper part of the screen under the cabin roof and thus protect the screens against damage upon a position that is completely open.
Model-optimised arm system with different dipper arm lengths
The ET Series features model-optimised arm systems in two different dipper arm lengths to optimise digging forces and digging values. In addition to the standard double-acting control circuit, up to four additional control circuits are optional.
Improved viewing and higher protection guarantee improved hose routing through the two-side swivelling console, the optional angle of traverse delimitation for the arm and the optional shatterproof hose valves.
Enormous versatility and stability through model-optimised wheels
The model-optimised wheels of the ET series ensure high stability and superior handling characteristics. The optimal coordination for attachment tools is obtained through two dozer blade variants, the extra-dimensioned profile frame of which provides for dozer blade distribution for additional stability.
VDS and EASY LOCK for better efficiency
An optional feature in the ET series of compact excavators, the proven Vertical Digging System (VDS) allows stepless bending of the revolving platform to up to 15%, enabling gradients of up to 27% to be balanced without any problem. Key benefits include material and time savings up to 25% when digging and filling, and up to 20% more stability on 15-degree slopes when fully extended.
The EASY LOCK hydraulic quick change system significantly increases machine productivity by enabling attachment changeover in less than 30 seconds without requiring the driver to step out.
