WIA Welding Industries of Australia has released Vortex Welding Respirator unit. The Vortex is a heavy duty welding respirator unit available with attention getting graphics on the helmet shell, such as the Inferno design.
The Vortex Welding Respirator unit features new digital lens technology. The benefit to the operator is they have the control to adjust shade, sensitivity and delay settings with absolute precision for any welding job.
The digital lens features a welding, cutting and grind mode. It also comes with X-Mode that operates by sensing weld current instead of light intensity.
This minimises interference from sunlight when welding in the outdoors or in low light intensity. Blocked sensors when welding out-of-position are also eliminated in this mode.
The Vortex Welding Respirator unit features easy to use controls, with raised buttons allowing adjustment during welding (even with gloves on).
A twist lock, quick connection hose eliminates air leaks and makes connecting and disconnecting easy. Comfort is maximised for the user with a back harness and ergonomic belt to distribute the weight of the unit over the entire upper body.
