WADCO Lighting has released the Rackmaster luminaire.
It is designed for lighting aisles between very high racks, giving adequate vertical light levels at the bottom of the racks and between luminaires as well as good horizontal readings on the floor.
The ovoid reflector produces an elliptical light distribution while retaining the power of conventional high bay fittings. Wider spacing means fewer luminaires are needed and energy is saved.
The system is constructed entirely of metal. The reflecting surfaces have an anodised aluminium finish that is scratch resistant and collects less static dust than plastic.
It is rated up to 400W and can be fully enclosed to an IP65 standard without heat or lamp restrictions. Control gear can be remote, but is normally integral. It is housed in a high-pressure die-cast gear housing. The housing can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 65°C.
An optional hanger assembly ensures correct alignment and positioning to achieve optimum lighting levels. It attaches to purlins or beams, compensates for sloped fixing and allows a 90° rotation setting depending on the rack layout.
