MIKRON Infrared, represented in Australia by W & B Instruments , has released a new Non Contact Infrared Pyrometer, the MI-GA 15+, which is specifically designed for high temperature applications such as molten streams, forging, welding and rolling. It covers the temperature range of 250°C to 1800°C.
The high quality optics allows small targets to be measured at a safe working distance (for example, a 4mm spot size at a distance of 800mm) and the laser-targeting beam actually corresponds to the spot size being measured.
Other features include fast response (20m/s), high accuracy (+/-0.6% of measured value), internal data logging memory (750 readings) with each reading date stamped, analogue and digital outputs.
Various measurements modes are available including max, min, average and differential.
A 'close-up' lens attachment allows target sizes as small as 1.25mm to be measured.
The MI-GA 15+ is supplied with a carry case as standard and other options include a belt bag, analogue and digital output cables and PortaWin software.
