Volvo launches own backhoe loader
VOLVO Construction Equipment has created its own, and completely new, backhoe loader range. To develop and design this new machine, Volvo CE put together an experienced team of product specialists from key markets worldwide.

The finished product is the result of close cooperation between this team of engineers, marketing specialists and many customers from various countries and backgrounds, who played a role in helping Volvo define the machine's specifications.
The Volvo backhoe loader will be shown for the first time at the ConExpo construction equipment trade show in Las Vegas, USA, next month.
The new backhoe will be produced at Volvo Poland Industries in Wroclaw, Poland, a state of the art Volvo manufacturing facility, where Volvo manufactures part of its range of buses.
The yearly average world market for backhoe loaders is between 50,000 and 70,000 units.
At ConExpo, Volvo CE will introduce new models in most of its product lines, and two brand new products. The company will showcase the latest members of its D-series articulated haulers - the Volvo A25D and A30D - and the new B-series of Volvo hydraulic excavators, ranging from the Volvo EC240B through the Volvo EC460B.
Also to be introduced at the exhibition will be new Volvo E-series wheel loaders - the Volvo L120E, Volvo L150E, Volvo L180E and the Volvo L330E.
Volvo CE also recently announced the acquisition of the assets of Scat Trak, the skidsteer loader business of Textron's subsidiary, OmniQuip. Those assets include manufacturing and product design rights and a complete range of five different skidsteers.
The product range will be further developed and launched globally under the Volvo brand in late 2002. The product will be shown at ConExpo with the Volvo brand.
