DALSA'S Piranha HS camera series, which is based on next generation, world-leading TDI (time delay and integration) technology, is now available from Victorian Machine Vision Pty Ltd.
Providing 100 times greater responsivity than traditional line scan cameras, the Piranha HS series brings high speed and high sensitivity to light-starved applications such as flat panel display inspection, postal sorting, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor inspection and web inspection.
The Piranha HS series delivers line rates of up to 68kHz - more than any other large resolution line scan camera - for reduced cycle times and increased productivity.
The elevated sensitivity of the Piranha HS series allows for high quality inspection with significantly less light at fast line rates. The need for less light results in significant cost savings for customers.
The camera has 4k and 8k pixel resolutions, with a 7m pixel pitch achieved through Dalsa's advanced CCD process, enables more detailed inspection for improved product quality.
The Piranha HS series' bidirectional scanning, 96 stages (selectable in increments of 16), flat-field correction and Camera Link interface provide increased flexibility.
With systems running so fast these days, lighting them economically has become a challenge. The Piranha HS camera resolves this problem, because multiple exposures provide incredibly high responsivity.
The Piranha HS cameras are specifically built to enhance performance in light-starved system applications.
