World-leading manufacturer of mechanical pipe joining systems, Victaulic will be showcasing their products at the upcoming ACPS (Australia Coal Prep Society) Tradeshow from 14 to 18 September 2014.
Victaulic will exhibit specific pipe joining solutions for the Queensland mining industry in Booth 13 at the ACPS Tradeshow being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Through product demonstrations and presentations, Victaulic will display a variety of mechanical pipe joining systems designed to help Australian coal companies reduce pipe installation time, simplify maintenance and quality control checks, and ultimately deliver projects on time and within budget.
QuickVic Installation-Ready Technology
QuickVic Style 177 flexible couplings and Style 107 rigid couplings install in half the time of standard installation couplings in four easy steps: lubricate, stab, join, and drive. Victaulic-patented Installation-Ready technology eliminates the need to disassemble the coupling before installation, eliminating any risk of loose parts dropping out accidentally. Style 177 flexible coupling delivers expansion, contraction and deflection capabilities to suit flexible pipe joining needs, while Style 107 rigid coupling provides joint rigidity, meeting industry standards for support and hanging requirements.
Shouldered Pipe Joining Solutions
The mining industry’s first installation-ready coupling for joining standard shouldered pipes, Style SC177N featuring Victaulic patented installation-ready technology, eliminates the need to disassemble the coupling before installation, eliminating the risk of loose parts dropping out on site. The prefabricated coupling allows fast installation without the need for field preparation, and the flexible design accommodates deflection, expansion, and contraction. Available in sizes from 50mm to 200mm and rated to 4,000 kPa/580 psi, Style SC177N coupling is supplied standard with a Grade T nitrile gasket, ideal for petroleum, oil and air services.
Vic-Press for Schedule 10S
Vic-Press, the industry’s first ANSI Schedule 10S pipe sized press-to-connect system designed for off-the-shelf ASTM A-312 Schedule 10S stainless steel pipe, is an industrial-grade solution for quickly and reliably joining small-diameter piping systems. Key benefits include increased strength and durability with improved flow characteristics compared to light-wall tube systems; safer, more efficient pipe assembly than welding, threading, and flanging; 70 percent fewer man-hours than welding to install, with significantly reduced rework; and no flame or arc required reducing risk to workers and surroundings.
Designed to meet or exceed industry standards, Vic-Press is a proven favourite in the mining industry, with Grade H HNBR O-ring seals ideal for a range of applications from air and water to oil and lubricant lines. Seals are rated from -29°C to +98°C.
High Pressure Solutions Style HP70-ES
Designed for high-pressure systems that are typically beyond the capabilities of standard coupling designs, Style HP70-ES EndSeal (ES) couplings and fittings can handle pressures up to 2500psi/175000kPa. Victaulic EndSeal couplings and fittings are specifically designed to meet the pressure demands of mining applications such as backfill, chilled water and deep-mine dewatering lines.
HDPE and PVC solutions
Victaulic delivers a range of couplings to suit both HDPE and PVC piping systems installed in mines across Australia. Victaulic’s plain-end coupling system is the fastest and easiest method for joining HDPE and PVC pipes, offering a superior alternative to the traditional heat fusion process with no pipe-end preparation necessary and half as many installation steps. The new range of couplings can increase productivity by 50 percent or more and does not require special equipment or tools or a remote power feed, enabling the system to be assembled using a standard wrench. Additionally, Victaulic offers a mechanical pipe joining system that joins HDPE pipes to PVC pipes.
The tradeshow will run from 2:00pm on Sunday 14th September through until 3pm on Thursday 18th September, with Victaulic representatives available at their stand throughout the event to address queries and share innovative solutions for the latest piping challenges.
